King's College London Law Students Achieve 100% Settlement Rate in Mock Mediation Scenarios Using Resolve Disputes Online Platform

In a recent collaboration with King’s College London (KCL), law students enrolled in a legal technology module participated in a series of mock mediation scenarios facilitated by Resolve Disputes Online (RDO). The exercises allowed students to apply mediation techniques within a digital setting, engaging in realistic dispute simulations as part of their studies.

The result? 100% settlement rate across all cases.

Mike Butler, Director of the Professional Law Institute at KCL said “The mediation was brilliant and so well-appreciated by the students. We surveyed them at the end and the mediation was ranked as a highlight by most students.”

These mock mediations provided students with hands-on experience in resolving disputes through innovative online tools, preparing them for the future of digital dispute resolution. The scenarios, specifically designed to simulate real-world disputes, highlighted the impact of RDO's platform in promoting efficient, streamlined, and accessible dispute resolution as an alternative to litigation.

By integrating platforms like RDO, educational institutions are positioning their students at the forefront of legal technology, preparing them to meet the evolving needs of clients in a digitally driven world. The success of this initiative reaffirms the potential for online dispute resolution in achieving effective outcomes, not only in mock settings but in real-life scenarios as well.
